The purpose of this role is to lead and manage the overall implementation of the organic search strategy for all core channels across Moneysupermarket.com
The role will be accountable for organic search channel performance, develop organic performance managers and strategists and work with multiple stakeholders across the organization to fully understand product and commercial priorities.
The role will involve managing a team of organic performance specialists to implement and evolve strategy, working closely with Social, PR, PPC, Content and Technology teams to educate on search engine optimization ensuring best practice and a market leading approach.
Create and implement an organic performance strategy across all MoneySuperMarket verticals
Identify future trends and set clear direction to sustain long term organic search excellence
High level of integration with stakeholders across the wider business including: Social, PR, PPC Content and IT and 3rd parties, amongst many others.
Own channel management for organic search across all MoneySuperMarket channels
Manage Organic Performance Managers to develop and execute the channel strategy to increase brand and product visibility
Support each manager to deliver channel optimization plan to sustain and grow channel performance
Scope on-going task prioritization for team execution and support on-going organic search campaign roadmap
Work with organic performance creative teams to develop content and campaign ideas
Manage and develop technical SEO teams for on-going onsite technical channel optimization
Reporting and insights requirements gathering
Support on-going technical audits across Moneysupermarket.com
Stay up to date with new market tools which would support SEO strategy
Day-to-day and on-going project management, including regular reviews and 1:1 cycles
Monitoring and reporting market changes, algorithm adjustments, competitors and our performance across a wide range of tools.
Working confidently and flexibly as a manager and leader in order to support the development and performance of the overall marketing team
Work across the MoneySuperMarket group alongside TSM and MSE organic performance teams to jointly lead on best practice
Support Digital Marketing Director with senior stakeholder expectation management
Grow and represent all channels to support company trading and channel performance
Delivery of progress reports to Head of Digital
Delivery of performance against set KPI’s and personal annual objectives
Manage personal annual objectives for assigned team
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
7 + years in a search role working within a digital organization
Expert knowledge of the current Google algorithm
Good knowledge of HTML and CSS
Proven track record in delivering organic search performance in highly competitive markets
Ability to continuously demonstrate innovation and initiative.
Excellent communication, organization, and presentation skills
The ability to autonomously identify opportunities, generate ideas and formulate strategies
Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
