Lead the Home Services commercial performance team to deliver rapid channel growth over the next three years in collaboration with the Home Services partnerships team. Working to the overall Home Services strategy, you will collaborate with the multi-functional team to execute the Energy channel strategy and plans, and lead the Home Communications growth strategy. You will take personal responsibility for leading commercial initiatives and will leverage consumer, market and provider insight to champion commercial innovation in order to unlock category growth. You will role model innovation internally, partnering across relevant departments to deliver your vision, and externally so that providers choose to work with MoneySuperMarket first.
Execute the Channel Growth Strategy in collaboration with the multi-functional team.
Support the development and delivery of the channel commercial strategy. Convert insights into plans to deliver the KPIs set for the channel, and recommend the building blocks, tactics and help needed to deliver the strategy to the Home Services Commercial Director.
Define and lead the Home Communications (Broadband and Mobiles) growth strategy.
Attend the Weekly and Monthly Channel Trade Meetings, and support the Home Services Commercial Director in preparation for the weekly MSM.com Trade Meeting and Monthly Trade Meeting.
Maintain a strong working relationship with key partner contacts, meeting all Tier 1 Partners at least twice per year (in collaboration with the partnerships team), and Tier 2 Partners at least once per year.
Understand provider strategies and priorities, and design commercial propositions to deliver our mutual goals.
Develop compelling conceptual sells for the commercial team to encourage providers to improve product offerings, customer experience, market position or product portfolio to better meet the needs of MSM.com customers, and ensure new providers come onboard with MSM.com.
In-depth business analysis, partnering with internal resources to uncover trends and identify insights, leading to recommendations and plans to improve performance.
Provide weekly management information to the Commercial Director Home Services covering business performance, market trends, industry insights and competitive activity.
Lead (project manage) the initiatives/activities/projects required to deliver the Channel Growth Strategies by partnering with matrix functions, including close collaboration with the Product teams to identify and deliver opportunities to improve the Shop and ensure that our partner’s products are merchandised to maximum effect in accordance with brand guidelines.
Understand and keep up to date on the markets we operate in and how they are developing. Understand how developments can impact providers and how we can influence/leverage market developments to our advantage.
Understand and keep up to date on the regulations and compliance requirements governing our business and partners, understand how those requirements can impact our business and recommend options to appropriately lobby regulators to the Commercial Director Home Services.
Partner with the Energy Club team at MoneySavingExpert (direct reports of the Head of Clubs) to support the development of the Group Energy channel, ensuring clear lines of communication between the companies within MSE's editorial code, and sharing insight between parties to benefit Group plans.
Manage the Home Services Commercial Performance Team (currently one, but expected to expand to two direct reports) to deliver the Channel Growth Strategies. Coach and develop the team, according to personal development plans, developing talent that will help the business to achieve its strategic objectives and are ready successors for prospective promotion or lateral movement.
